PRODUCER MATT

In 2004, Producer Matt graduated from Rhodes with a B.A. in Creative Writing. He wanted to major in Theatre but his parents threatened physical harm if he did. Fresh out of college, Producer Matt focused on his acting career. From '04-'06 he performed in professional theatre, commercials, television and film. He even moved to Los Angeles for a little bit where he appeared on Fox's hit series The OC. But Producer Matt hated L.A. and missed the debilitating humidity of those Southern summer nights--oh, and the girls.
So, in December of '05, Producer Matt drove cross-country from L.A. to ATL to start the next chapter of his life, though he had never even so much as set foot in the state of Georgia before. After waiting tables his first 18 months in town, Producer Matt really missed the part of his life that had been a constant since he was 6 years old--entertaining people.
In the summer of 2007, he enrolled at Atlanta Broadcast Institute. 5 months later, he wrote an email that would change his life. The email was to the morning show at Kicks, expressing interest in an opportunity to intern for the best Country station in town--heck, one of the best Country stations in the world. Producer Matt began his internship at Kicks in November, 2007 and in January, 2008 was hired as the Associate Producer of the morning show. The rest is history.
Not a day goes by that Producer Matt doesn't feel truly blessed. He loves his job and looks forward to going to work everyday. Not many people get to have that feeling. His favorite part about the job is interacting with Kicks listeners and getting to spend each morning with 4 of the funniest, smartest, and nicest people he has ever known. Caddy, Dallas, Tug, and Greg are like family, but without all the crazy family drama. Well, maybe just a little.
