The Zac Brown Band Get Their Third Straight Number One Song

The Zac Brown Band has scored their third straight number-one hit with "Toes," a song that was actually inspired by band member Wyatt Durretts's trip to the Florida Keys to celebrate his 30th birthday. In fact, Wyatt recited the entire chorus to a few of his friends while they were sitting on the beach one morning. The song developed over time as Wyatt continued working on it with bandmate Zac. He says, "The 'adios and vaya con dios' part was [from] another song...[Sometimes] we take little pieces from things we've written in the past, and if they fit melodically and they make sense, we put it in the song."

All three of Zac Brown Band's #1 songs are on their debut CD, The Foundation. "Toes" joins their previous chart-toppers "Chicken Fried" and "Whatever It Is."
