George Strait Is Headed Back To The Big Screen

George Strait is headed back to the big screen. He's apparently teamed up with the director behind his first film Pure Country for a new movie, titled A Pure Country Gift, a sequel to his 1992 film. Nashville NBC-TV affiliate WSMV reports that George will be filming a concert scene next Wednesday at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium and extras are needed to fill the seats. Fans could win a walk-on party with George himself. Of course, George is also set to perform on the CMA Awards this Wednesday night.

George's first movie, Pure Country, has become one of the most iconic movies about country music ever made. Stars such as Blake Shelton know every word of the script by heart. He says, "I was one of the guys in high school that loaded up and went to the theater and saw it. You know, George Strait's in a movie. That was a big deal."
